Guatemala La Soledad
La Soledad sits at an altitude of 1,585–1,750m above sea level on the slopes of Volcan de Agua in Antigua. The estate is owned by Ana Lucia Zelaya and her husband Rony Asensio. The two make a dynamic coffee duo—Ana Lucia is a fourth-generation coffee producer . Her husband, Rony, also comes from coffee-producing heritage and is avery passionate and meticulous farmer who works incredibly hard to produce great coffee.

Colombia San Francisco
This lot comes from a group of 6 smallholder producers, led by Gabriel Quilindo, who grow coffee in the community of San Francisco. Located in the municipality of La Plata, in the state of Huila, Colombia the region is found at a staggering elevation of 1,900-2,100m above sea level. San Francisco is a steep, narrow stretch of land that borders the town of Inza, in the state of Cauca, and forms part of the Macizo Colombiano (‘Great Colombian Massif’). Much like that found in these well-known coffee regions, the volcanic soil in San Francisco is perfect for coffee growing.

Ethiopia Aleme Wako
In the culture of Gedeo, a parcel of land from family is shared with a grandson as a blessing. As a grandson, Aleme was lucky to inherit his first coffee farm of 3 hectares from his grandfather. His father also granted him another 3.5 hectares of land.

Ethiopia Jabanto Bishari
Jabanto business group was established in 2018 comprising of 29 smallholder coffee farmers from the Gedeo zone. The size of the group has expanded over the years and as of today there 87 registered smallholder coffee farmers in the group.

Ethiopia Gutu Birre
Last year we brought you coffee from Birre's son, Tarkegn Gutu. This single-farmer lot is from the family's farms around the village of Tulise, Yirgacheffe and is a beautiful representation of the family's development of coffee varietals and dedication to producing and processing quality coffee.

Ethiopia Melkalati Tore Badiya
Melkalati is named after a name of a river that runs through the village of Tore Badiya in Abaya county, West Guji Zone. The company was officially established in 2018 and since then it has been operating in different coffee growing areas. So far the company has focus on Guji and Gedeo coffees.

Costa Rica Finca Las Casas
Vista al Valle (‘View of the valley’) is a micro mill owned and operated by Oldermar Arrieta Lobo, Marlene Brenas Morera and their three sons. They established the mill in 2012 after learning the operation and management in their neighbour’s mill many years prior. It now services their three farms; Zapote, Fidel and La Casa, aptly named as it surrounds their family home!
